Day 1:  In the morning, the guides will introduce you to the itinerary and provide sea kayak instruction. We will then board a motorboat for a quick and scenic ride to Shoup Bay Marine State Park. Once we arrive and transfer to our kayaks, we will spend the day exploring the upper bay of the park, looking for sea otters, seals, and observing a remarkable rookery of Black-Legged Kittiwakes. At the head of the fjord, accessible by kayak, lies the impressive face of the Shoup Glacier. We will hike alongside the glacier to enjoy stunning views from above. Our campsite is one of the best in the sound, allowing you to set up your tent with a prime view of the glacier and the surrounding cascading waterfalls. Your guides will prepare delicious meals!

Day 2:  After a leisurely morning of exploration, you will head back to Valdez. Paddling back to the harbor provides a fantastic opportunity to view the steep, lush Prince William Sound coastline from the water. The typical afternoon breeze will provide a nice tail-wind as we travel back to port. We will stop for lunch at Gold Creek State Park, where we can enjoy a walk to view the waterfalls.
